# Tilta developer documentation

> AI-native accounts receivable and payment infrastructure for B2B trade. Underwrite trade credit, offer payment terms, and finance, insure, and collect receivables.

Tilta is AI-native accounts receivable and payment infrastructure for B2B trade across Europe. Use it to underwrite and monitor trade credit, offer payment terms of 3 to 90 days, finance or insure the resulting receivables, and service or enforce them – while Tilta absorbs 100% of the credit and default risk.

It makes no difference whose receivables you are working with. Digital-first trading businesses use Tilta for their own sales ledger, and platforms and marketplaces use it on behalf of the merchants selling through them. The same objects, interfaces, and guides cover both.

## What you can do

> [card] Underwrite and monitor trade credit
>
> Get a real-time credit decision per buyer and a credit facility that is monitored and renewed automatically.

> [card] Offer payment terms
>
> Present deferred terms in an online checkout, or agree them offline and record the order through the API.

> [card] Finance or insure receivables
>
> Capture an invoice to get paid out immediately, or insure the receivable and keep collecting yourself.

> [card] Service and enforce receivables
>
> Hand over reminders, dunning, and collections, and track the outcome through webhooks and the API.

## Choose your interface

> [card] [REST API](https://docs.tilta.ai/docs/integration-server-side.md)
>
> Full control over every object and flow. Build your own UI on top of the complete REST surface.

> [card] [Web Elements](https://docs.tilta.ai/docs/integration-web-elements.md)
>
> Drop Tilta's onboarding and checkout flows into your own application as widgets and modals.

> [card] [MCP server](https://docs.tilta.ai/docs/integration-mcp.md)
>
> Connect Claude or any MCP client to your Tilta account and work through your receivables in natural language.

> [card] [Plugins](https://docs.tilta.ai/docs/integration-shopware-plugin.md)
>
> Install a ready-made integration, such as the Shopware 6 payment plugin.

## How Tilta works

**1. Onboard buyers and merchants**

Register the businesses you sell to as buyers. Tilta underwrites each one in real time and issues a **credit facility** that caps how much they can finance. Register merchants only if the receivables belong to a third party – if you are selling on your own account, your own business is the merchant.

**2. Create and authorize orders**

Create an order when a purchase is agreed, whether that happens in an online checkout or over the phone. Tilta checks the buyer's credit facility, reserves the amount, and returns an authorization within seconds.

**3. Capture invoices and receive payouts**

Once goods or services are delivered, submit an invoice. Tilta schedules the payout and takes over collection, reminders, and default risk from that point forward.
