# Remove a representative

> Delete the association between a person and a merchant so that the person is no longer a legal representative.

Removing an association deletes the link between the person and the merchant. The person record itself is unaffected and remains available for other merchants.

<Warning>
  Tilta requires at least one legal representative for a merchant to complete KYB onboarding. Removing the last remaining
  representative from a merchant that is still onboarding blocks its approval.
