# Search buyers
> Search your buyers with a single free-text query across their identifiers and names, without paginating through your full buyer list.
The search endpoint matches a single free-text `query` against your buyers. Use it to verify that a buyer exists before processing an order, or to resolve a buyer when you only have a partial name rather than their identifier.
For filtering on specific attributes – country, legal form, VAT ID, or your own custom data – use [List
buyers](/api-reference/buyers/list-buyers), which accepts a dedicated query parameter per field.
